Whenever there are trade rumors to be thrown around, don't forget to include Chris Kaman. The center is in his eighth season with the Los Angeles Clippers and there has been speculation he will be dealt for seemingly half that time.
The always outspoken Kaman has an interesting take on it.
"I look at it like this,'' Kaman said in an interview with FanHouse. "If they don't like want I'm doing, if they want to trade me, I'd tell them, 'Go ahead.' Not that I want to be traded. I don't want to be traded. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying, 'It's a business. If that's their position like they would want to get rid of me after the seven years that I've been here, it's their decision.' I can't control that kind of thing.''
Kaman said the chances of being traded is not an unspoken topic with team management. He recalls Clippers general manager Neil Olshey approaching him about a situation last summer related to Kaman, Clippers power forward Blake Griffin and Denver forward Carmelo Anthony, who could be dealt due to his unwillingness so far to sign a three-year, $64.47 million contract extension offer.
