Cam Newton's lawyer has spoken for the first time about the allegations facing Auburn's Heisman Trophy favorite. And to no surprise, he's denying that Newton requested money from Mississippi State in exchange for a letter of intent."No money has been offered to Cam Newton. Cam Newton hasn't asked for any money," George Lawson said. "Cam Newton, Cecil Newton and Jackie Newton have participated in the ongoing NCAA investigation. They have been truthful and candid with the NCAA. They will continue to cooperate with the NCAA and they will produce and answer any and all questions that the NCAA has for them."
Earlier this week, MSU booster Bill Bell admitted that he received a payment plan designed to get Cam Newton to commit to the school.
