WBA interim super flyweight (115 pounds) titlist Nonito Donaire (24-1, 16 knockouts) of the Philippines has a Top Rank Promotions, Dec. 4 bout with Ukrainian WBA bantamweight champion Voldymyr Sydorenko (22-2-2, seven KOs) at The Pond in Anaheim, Calif.

Donaire-Sydorenko will be on a show whose main event features junior middleweight (154 pounds) and middleweight (160 pounds) contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (40-0-1, 30 KOs) of Mexico against Alfonso Gomez (22-4-2, 11 KOs), of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mex.

Primed for his return to the ring with his co-trainer Robert Garcia, Donaire is considered to be the next Manny Pacquiao in his country. Pacquiao is the WBO welterweight (147 pounds) and WBC junior middleweight (154 pounds) champion, the latter of which he won over Antonio Margarito on Nov. 13 with Garcia in Margarito's corner.

Chavez-Gomez is being promoted by Top Rank Promotions.
