How West Ham must envy West Bromwich's healthy position in the Premier League table.
The Hammers have won just once in the league all season - a narrow victory at home to Tottenham in September - and surrendered a two-goal lead at Birmingham on Saturday to return with just a point.
Albion lost 2-0 at home to Manchester City on Sunday having gone down 2-1 at fellow newcomers Blackpool in their previous game.
But the table shows Roberto di Matteo's side are still a top-half team thanks to an unexpectedly smart start that saw them win at Arsenal and fill one of the Champions League qualification slots for a while.
Key Match-up: Carlton Cole v Gabriel Tamas. Cole has made it clear he doesn't want to be known as the new Emile Heskey - a forward who never scores. Tamas, Albion's Romanian defender, will be keen to make sure he remains just that and hope to extend Cole's unprofitable start to the season.
Form Guide: West Ham haven't had any all season while the Baggies were going great guns until slipping up in their last two fixtures.
Odds: West Ham 13/10, West Brom 11/5, Draw 9/4
