Byron Hout, Boise State Linebacker, Out for Season With Broken Foot

BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Boise State starting middle linebacker Byron Hout will miss the rest of the season after breaking his foot in the No. 3 Broncos' victory over Idaho.

Coach Chris Petersen says Hout will have surgery later this week to repair the foot and it's not clear if he'll be ready to play in a bowl game.

Hout was making the transition from defensive line and his 34 tackles are fourth best on the team.
