Not were the above 13 names part of seven, exciting match ups aired by HBO either on regular cable or pay per view, but they will also be within a series of network's premiere fights of 2010, called, its "Boxing's Best" lineup, that will air over the course of four days starting on Monday, Dec. 27, and, ending on Thursday, Dec. 30.
The first bout will be the May 1, Golden Promotions' clash from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where six-time titlist Mayweather (41-0, 25 knockouts) overcame being staggered by a second-round right hand to dominate then-WBA welterweight (147 pounds) champion, Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KOs), by lopsided unanimous decision before 15,117.
Mayweather earned a non-heavyweight record, guaranteed $22.5 million purse for his performance, while Mosley, whose title was not on the line against Mayweather, earned his largest career pay day -- a guaranteed $7 million.
Later on Monday, the network will rebroadcast a Dec. 11, unanimous decision by WBA junior welterweight (140 pounds) champ, Khan (24-1, 17 KOs), over WBA interim titlist Maidana (29-2, 27 KOs), that was contested at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.
Maidana rose from a first-round knockdown to nearly finish off Khan during a vicious 10th-round barrage of a bout that was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions.
On Tuesday, Argentinian-born southpaw WBC middleweight (160 pounds) king Martinez (46-2-2, 25 KOs) will be featured winning his two Atlantic City match ups, as will WBA junior middleweight king, Cotto (35-2, 28 KOs), his June triumph over Foreman.
