HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. -- This is the Strikeforce live blog for Fedor Emelianenko vs. Dan Henderson, the main event of tonight's Strikeforce on Showtime card from the Sears Centre just outside of Chicago.Once the most dominant heavyweight in the world, Fedor is currently on a two-fight losing streak with a submission loss to Fabricio Werdum and a TKO loss to Antonio Silva in Strikeforce events. Henderson, who holds the Strikeforce light heavyweight title, agreed to give up size advantage to make this legendary matchup happen.

Henderson is first to walk out and the fans in the packed house are all up on their feet to welcome him. Henderson has his own custom entrance song. Fedor walks out in his usual low key fashion to a big time reaction.
Round 1: The two legends immediately get into a wild exchange that ends with Henderson pressing Fedor against the fence. Fedor already has marks over the right side of his face. Fedor instinctually reaches for the fence and referee Herb Dean warns him. Henderson is crowding Fedor, wearing him down with short knees to the leg and short punches. Fedor backs Henderson with a right hand. Fedor misses on an overhand right but lands two lefts. Fedor storms in with more punches, dropping Henderson. Without hesitation, Fedor follows him down with ground and pound. Somehow Henderson manages to grab Fedor's right leg to slip around and climb on Fedor's back. Henderson pounds away with right hands to collapse Fedor. Fedor turns to his back and Dean jumps in for the stoppage! What a change of events.
