Rangers are desperately hoping their inability to turn their game in hand into even a single point will not cost them come May but it certainly allowed Celtic to move closer to the Scottish Premier League title in a race that is now even harder to call.

Motherwell were the most impressive movers in the FanHouse UK tartan rankings, which are based on detailed statistics with a sprinkling of expert opinion, as they enjoyed victories in both league and knock-out action.

Struggling St Mirren finally hit some form at long last but those other Saints St Johnstone are in danger of being labelled the dullest side in SPL history ...
