Rafael Nadal might have enhanced his reputation as the king of clay with his flawless start to the season on the surface - but the world No. 1 could be forgiven for feeling a little less invincible this week. The reason? Novak Djokovic, the man who has won all of his 24 matches in 2011, returns to action on Wednesday following a spell on the sidelines to allow his knees to recover from the gruelling hardcourt season.
Djokovic faces Romania's Adrian Ungur in the second round of the Serbia Open in his home of Belgrade for what will be his first match since defeating world No. 1 Nadal in the final of the Miami Masters.
Two weeks earlier the Serb also defeated the Spaniard in the final of Indian Wells, casting doubt on the muscular Mallorcan's status as the globe's leading player.
He has gone some way to re-asserting his authority with victories at the Monte Carlo Masters and Barcelona Open but, with Djokovic absent from both, Nadal finds himself under intense pressure to beat the world No. 2 on the Spaniard's strongest surface.
Never one to lack confidence, Djokovic has warned five-time French Open winner Nadal he is confident he has the beating of him.
