You have to feel sorry for Andy Powell. His most recent scrape with rugby authorities has coincided with the latest chapter in Wales team mate Gavin Henson's complicated saga - and he looks to be paying the price of being guilty by association. The pair have been called to a meeting - at a date to be arranged - with the Wales Rugby Union chiefs and head coach Warren Gatland, where they will no doubt be told to knuckle down or face the end of the road as far as the national team is concerned.
Wales players' association president Rhys Williams believes the talks are a positive step by the WRU. He told the BBC: "The players have had a couple of issues in their career with discipline away from the pitch and maybe it is a good to sit and talk about the issues and get them aired.
"I think it's a positive move by Gatland and Roger Lewis, the WRU chief executive. I would expect Warren and Roger will tell them they've got the talent to play for Wales for a number of years, especially in the World Cup and I think they'll try and get the best out of those players."
