Manchester United 4 Schalke 1 (6-1 on agg): Ferguson's Men Stroll Through to Final

Antonio Valencia celebrates his opening goal for Manchester UnitedAnderson doubled his career goal tally for Manchester United with a brace which carried Sir Alex Ferguson's side to a third Champions League final in four years.

Ferguson becomes just the third manager in history to appear in four different finals and will look to avenge the defeat to Barcelona of two years ago.

Leading 2-0 from the first leg, United never looked in trouble and Darron Gibson slid Antonio Valencia through to open the scoring midway through the first half.

Five minutes later, Gibson thumped a shot past Manuel Neuer to double the lead and finish the tie.

Jose Manuel Jurado pulled one back for the German side shortly after but Ralf Rangnick's side otherwise struggled to cause United any real problems.

The Bundlesliga side were forced to push forward after the break but were pulled apart on the break when Valencia tore down the right and Anderson found the corner after his first shot was blocked.

Four minutes later, Valencia slid a pass through for Dimitar Berbatov and the Bulgarian crossed for Anderson to score United's fourth.
