As expected, he is full of positive thoughts, despite seeing his name tumble down to No. 28 in the world rankings. On top of that, he will be working with his new caddy, Bryon Bell, as well as swing coach Sean Foley.
In essence, it is Woods's dream team, assembled with the sole purpose of returning him to his best and, presumably, success once again in the majors.
Ahead of this week's tournament, Woods told a media briefing that he returned to action too quickly after suffering injures at Augusta, however he stated that he is now physically ready.
He said: "[The expectation level] has not changed. [My leg] feels solid, it feels stable and there is no pain. That's one of the reasons why I took as long as I did to come back.
"I wanted to get to this point where I can go ahead and start playing golf again. It's been a very long time, and it feels good to go."
