Sir Alex Ferguson and his Manchester United team will play at Elland Road for the first time in eight years following a Carling Cup third-round draw that paired them with rivals Leeds.Leeds have been to League One and back up to the Championship since that last clash, which was also in the same competition and had Roque Junior, David Bellion, Diego Forlan and Eric Djemba-Djemba on the scoresheet.
Simon Grayson's team will attempt to produce another shock after travelling to Old Trafford in the FA Cup two seasons ago and winning courtesy of Jermaine Beckford's goal.
Elsewhere in the draw, with the ties being played in the week of September 19, holders Birmingham have been given a tough start in the defence of their trophy as they travel to Manchester City.
