Montreal Masters: Novak Djokovic Books Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Semi Showdown

Gael Monfils (l) congratulates Novak DjokovicWorld No. 1 Novak Djokovic cruised into the last four of the Montreal Masters after dropping just three games against Gael Monfils of France.

The Serb made it win number 51 in 2011 with a 6-2 6-1 victory in just 73 minutes and he will now face Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Frenchman Tsonga, who ended Roger Federer's involvement in the Rogers Cup tournament, edged out eighth seed Nicolas Almagro 6-4 6-4.

He faces his sternest test yet against Djokovic, though, with the top seed having been beaten just once, by Federer at the French Open, in 2011.

Eighth seed Mardy Fish claimed a 6-3 6-7 (8) 6-0 victory over Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka.

A semi-final with unseeded Janko Tipsarevic, who beat Tomas Berdych, awaits with the Serb now guaranteed a place ion the world's top 20 for the first time in his career.

Meanwhile, Andy Murray and Jamie Murray crashed out of the doubles with a 6-4 6-4 loss0 to Germany's Florian Mayer and Czech Tomas Berdych.
