Ross Taylor runs riot in comfortable New Zealand win:A wonderful century from Taylor helped New Zealand to a crushing 110-run victory over Pakistan.
Taylor's explosive innings of 131 including hitting 28 and 30 of just two overs towards the end of New Zealand's inning as they ran rampant against Pakistan's faltering side.
Shahid Afridi's side were just as poor with the bat as they got nowhere near New Zealand's 307-7 and they finished on 192 all out although Abdul Razzaq's 62 was briefly entertaining.
However, it was not all good news for the Blacks Cats as captain Daniel Vettori had to hobble off with a knee injury sustained while fielding.

Gary Wilson earns a new contract at Surrey:
Ireland wicketkeeper Wilson has impressed Surrey enough to earn a new deal at Surrey.
Although England's Steven Davies remains the club's first choice stumper, Wilson averaged 43.62 for Surrey last season and scored several centuries and his World Cup form has rubber stamped a new deal.
He said: "It is brilliant to be extending my deal. I really enjoy playing for the club and feel I can make a big contribution as we continue to move the team in a positive direction.
"Following my performances last year, I am looking to continue scoring runs and push my case for selection at all times."
The Netherlands will not go down without a fight against hot favourites India:
The Netherlands have already impressed at times during this World Cup but their upcoming encounter with India has MS Dhoni's side down as huge favourites.
However, the Netherlands captain Peter Borrens is not as convinced as the bookmakers and wants his side to go out all guns blazing when the two sides meet up on Wednesday.
He said: "We are going to play brave cricket. Initially, our philosophy was to get out there and take the opposition on and hopefully put them on the back foot. We are going to go out there and try and cause a surprise."
Opposite number Dhoni said: "So far we have had a good game, a tight game and a close game. We have shown signs of improvement. What we need now [on Wednesday] is an easy win."

Police clash with fans trying to buy tickets:
Police in Nagpur have been accused once again of attacking fans queueing to buy tickets for India's match with South Africa on Saturday.
As congestion mounted outside the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, police charged with sticks to quell the huge numbers.
It is the second time in a fortnight that police have attacked fans trying to purchase World Cup tickets.
The ICC refused to make a comment over the situation.
