If Liverpool owner John Henry is impressed with Kenny Dalglish's performance as manager so far, he is not letting on.Dalglish's future was a hot topic after Sunday's 2-0 win over Sunderland, especially as to many people - fans and players alike - it seems a no-brainer (to use one of Henry's Americanisms) to sign him up for the long term.
As things stand, the Scot is in charge until the end of the season. But after leading the club out of the doldrums to be in the running for a Europa League spot with just four defeats in 15, it should stand to reason that he will remain in the summer.
Henry was tight-lipped about the prospect of Dalglish staying on - displaying a sound knowledge of Liverpool history in doing so.
He said: "What is going on in that regard is private. It is something called the Liverpool Way and you do these things behind closed doors. I am not going to talk about these things."
Henry added the positive feeling around the club compared to when he took over is a relief, while aiming a dig at an unnamed person who has since left.
He added: "It's all very positive. Someone was saying that people weren't happy here. But I think since that person left people are happier."
