WC Headlines: Canada Win, Gibson Hits Back, Call-up for Nannes, DRS Praise

Canada celebrate winCanada picked up their first win of the tournament - and their second in World Cup history - when they defeated Kenya by five wickets in Delhi.

Henry Osinde's four wickets helped restrict Kenya to 198 from their 50 overs, with Jimmy Hansra's 70 and an unbeaten 64 from Ashish Bagai seeing the Canadians home.

Ottis Gibson could face reprimand for his criticism of Haroon Lorgat:
The West Indies coach claims International Cricket Council chief executive Lorgat acted in a "ridiculous" manner for attempting to smooth over the security concerns and events which involved Bangladesh fans stoning the Windies team bus in Dhaka.

Lorgat claimed the incident, after the home team had suffered a humiliating World Cup loss, was "minor" with just "pebbles" hurled at the vehicle.

But Gibson told Lorgat that it was a serious breach of security which caused the West Indies team to take cover on the floor of the bus.

"There were stones thrown at our bus. I just want to make it clear first of all and remind Haroon Lorgat of his responsibilities. He can't sit in a hotel room in Chennai and say they were pebbles," said Gibson.

"What we heard hitting the bus and smashing glass didn't seem to us to be pebbles. So it is not fair to make a statement like that. We as management of the West Indies team here believe that was a ridiculous statement to make."

Security around the West Indies team has been stepped up in Mohali where they face Ireland on Friday.
