After months of speculation and rumour, Eastmond has finally decided that his future belongs in the 15-man game and will join a club that has a history of recruiting rugby league players such as Jason Robinson, Henry Paul and current England international Shontayne Hape.
Eastmond said: "I am very excited and privileged to be offered the opportunity to not only play rugby union, but to play at such a prestigious club with such a great history and forward ambition as Bath.
"This has been a long, hard and carefully thought out decision, with my family being an invaluable source of support, but I feel that the opportunity presented to me was too good to miss and I am thoroughly looking forward to the challenges ahead."

However, Eastmond is likely to find the conversion a tough prospect to handle.
While fellow former league player Chris Ashton continues to thrive for the England union side, it is because his skills - pace, vision and talent on the wing - are directly transferable from one code to another.
That is not a criticism of Ashton; he is clearly a fine player, but the talents he employs in the current England set-up are talents that, in the main, he took with him from league and not skills he has had to learn.
