Dwain Chambers is hoping to retain his European Indoor 60m title in Paris - which may increase his desire to mount another bid to overturn his Olympics ban.Chambers looks set for a battle in Paris with home favourite and European outdoor champion Christophe Lemaitre when the qualifying heats begin on the second day of the three-day event in the French capital.
While concentrating heavily on winning the title again, Chambers has admitted he does "wonder" about the once-in-a-lifetime thrill of competing in his own country in the 2012 Olympics.
In 2003, Chambers received a two-year ban from athletics and a lifetime ban from the Olympics for using the performance-enhancing drug THG.
Chambers also admitted to systematic doping as one of the athletes caught up in the Balco scandal, before returning to athletics in 2008. He tried to get the Olympic ban overturned for the Beijing Games, but ran out of time.
He insists the British Olympic Association's ban is a restraint of trade, but judges refused to grant an injunction to temporarily suspend the ban after Chambers won the British Olympic trials.
