Freddy Meyer, Thrashers Defenseman, Collapses on Ice During Game

Atlanta Thrashers defenseman Freddy Meyer collapsed on the ice Thursday night, during the Thrashers' home game against Calgary.

The incident happened during the second period of Calgary's 4-2 win over the Thrashers.

Meyer was skating on his own in the neutral zone when he suddenly fell to the ice. He tried to regain his footing and continue skating, but he went down a second time.
