Southpaw lightweight (135 pounds) Robert Guerrero, of Gilroy, Calif., will meet Australia's Michael Katsidis in an HBO pay per view televised bout on April 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on the under card of a Golden Boy Promotions main event featuring three-division titlist Erik Morales of Mexico and former WBA interim junior welterweight (140 pounds) titlist Marcos Rene Maidana of Argentina.

A former two-time IBF featherweight (126 pounds) and one-time IBF super featherweight (130 pounds) titlist who is nicknamed, "The Ghost," the 27-year-old Guerrero (28-1-1, 18 knockouts) was slated to face the 30-year-old Katsidis (27-3, 22 KOs) in March of 2010 before pulling out of their clash to care for his wife, Casey Guerrero, who has since recovered from a life-threatening battle with leukemia thanks to a bone marrow transplant.

Guerrero spoke to FanHouse regarding Katsidis, and also addressed Top Rank Promotions' Filipino stars, Manny Pacquiao, who is the WBO welterweight (147 pounds), and former WBA interim super flyweight (115 pounds) titlist, Nonito Donaire, who became a bantamweight (118 pounds) champion with last Saturday's HBO televised second-round knockout over WBO and WBC king, Fernando Montiel.
