Roger Clemens has subpoenaed the Congressional subcommittee where he denied using steroids and human growth hormone three years ago, according to documents obtained by FanHouse.Clemens' legal team is seeking "interview summaries, notes and memoranda" related to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform's hearing into performance-enhancing drugs in Major League Baseball. The subpoena also asks for any communications between 20 individuals interviewed by subcommittee investigators, a list that includes former major leaguers Jose Canseco, Chuck Knoblauch and Andy Pettitte, former friend and personal trainer Brian McNamee and four doctors.
The Reform Committee -- which is now headed by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif. -- has been asked to produce the documents at a hearing in U.S. District Court on March 14. The subpoena was drafted by Michael Attanasio, Clemens' co-counsel, and signed by a U.S. District Court clerk on Thursday.
