Main Events CEO Kathy Duva has informed FanHouse that the deal is done for a March 5, IBF junior welterweight (140 pounds) title fight between southpaw former junior welterweight and welterweight (147 pounds) titlist Zab Judah (pictured above, at left) of Las Vegas and Kaizer Mabuza of South Africa that will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
"Both Kaizer Mabuza and Zab Judah have submitted the signed contracts for their fight to the IBF and we're now officially on for March 5," said Duva, who promotes the 33-year-old Judah (40-6, 27 knockouts) while Branco Milenkovic, of South Africa, promotes the 30-year-old Mabuza (23-6-3, 14 KOs).
"We've been working on the fight for the last week, and we were anticipating that it was coming," said Duva. "It's good to know now that it's official. We will have some sort of formal announcement tomorrow and go from there. But it's all done."
