Game, set, match Wozniacki. No. 1 women's tennis star Caroline Wozniacki out-dueled the media Sunday at the Australian Open.
Friday, Wozniacki said she was hearing through the grape vine that the media was calling her "boring."
So what's a world No. 1 to do? Make up a false story about her bandaged leg, of course.
After beating Anastasija Sevastova 6-3, 6-4 Sunday, Wozniacki told reporters she had been scratched by a kangaroo while visiting a wildlife sanctuary, then showed reporters her bandaged leg, AFP reported.
Reports say the injury was caused by a treadmill accident.
"The other day I went to the park and I saw this kangaroo lying there," she said. "I wanted to go over and help it out. As I went over to it, it just started to be aggressive and it actually cut me.
