Every once in a while, we hear a story from minor-league sports about a coach who just loses it. In baseball, this can involve a manager kicking dirt and throwing bases. In hockey, sticks (and, apparently, neckties) are usually the victim.A good example came last March, when Abbotsford (AHL) coach Jim Playfair went ballistic. His tie also ended up seeing better days.
The latest minor-league temper tantrum happened Saturday in West Valley City, Utah, where the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies were hosting the Stockton Thunder. Coach Kevin Colley wasn't a big fan of referee Rich Looker's work, so he used some hockey sticks and his tie to make his point.
