Jason Giambi Re-Signs With Rockies

Jason Giambi has agreed to a minor-league deal with the Colorado Rockies, pending a physical, the club announced Monday. The deal includes an invite to spring training and paves the way for Giambi to spend his third season in Denver.

Giambi first signed with the Rockies in Aug. 2008 after he was released by the A's, and he's been primarily a pinch-hitter and bench depth behind regular first baseman Todd Helton.
