There's may be more bad news looming for Ronnie O'Sullivan and his army of fans as the Rocket faces another early exit from a major tournament. That's if our FanHouse predictions are anything to go by as we look forward to the forthcoming Masters event at Wembley - an eight-day feast of snooker where the world's top 16 players are all just four wins away from lifting the prestigious trophy. Here's how we see the first round matches going.Mark Selby v Mark King (Sunday, January 9)
Expect an easy ride for defending champion Selby when he launches the tournament and bids to emulate the late Paul Hunter by claiming the title for the third time in four years at a Wembley Arena he admits brings the best out of him. It certainly did last year when he won the last four frames to snatch a dramatic final against O'Sullivan.
Prediction: Selby 6-1
Ali Carter v Peter Ebdon (Sunday, January 9)
This could be Ebdon's last appearance at this top 16 invitational event for some time unless he enjoys a more fruitful second half of the campaign to halt his potential slide down the rankings. He'll give Carter a good run for his money, but expect the younger man to come out on top - only just, though.
Prediction: Carter 6-5
Mark Williams v Ding Junhui (Monday, January 10)
Despite Williams enjoying a welcome renaissance, as shown in his march to the final of the UK Championship, it's difficult to see him getting past Ding. But if there's anyone who can hang in there and tough out a result even when he's not at the top of his game, it's the two-time World Champion.
Prediction: Ding 6-3
