Check back regularly for more videos. On Nov. 13, at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Jesus Soto-Karass (pictured at right, on the left) lost a disputed welterweight (147 pounds) decision to Mike Jones (23-0, 18 knockouts), this, after nearly being stopped in the second round.
Jones-Soto-Karass took place on the under card of a main event featuring eight-division king Manny Pacquiao (53-2-1, 38 KOs), who is handled by Top Rank Promotions, earning an HBO pay-per-view televised victory over Antonio Margarito (38-7, 27 KOs), adding the WBC's vacant junior middleweight (154 pounds) crown to the WBO welterweight belt that he had already owned.
On May 7, Pacquiao will defend his WBO belt against three-division, five-time champion Shane Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KOs), who has scored a January, 2009, ninth-round knockout of Margarito.
On Feb. 19, Soto-Karass (24-5-3, 16 KOs) and Jones are slated for a rematch at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. Jones-Soto-Karass is likely for the under card of what will be an HBO-televised clash between WBA interim super flyweight (115 pounds) titlist Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KOs) and WBO and WBC bantamweight (118 pounds) king Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KOs).
Soto-Karass's manager, Francisco Espinosa, expressed his thoughts on his fighter's second chance as well as his opinion on Pacquiao-Mosley.
